The classic old wonder tales hold depth, mysterious powers and wisdom which help them endure the rise and fall of nations and address the souls of people today as much as they did many hundreds of years ago. Our own biographies are full of the stuff these great stories are made of: the quest to find meaning, wisdom and love, written day by day as we journey through the joys, trials and sorrows of life. Just as in the old wonder tales, we ourselves are called to overcome obstacles in the form of earthly trials and challenges, at times feeling as lonely as those maidens locked in a tower. Sometimes we too are fortunate to find the helpers, who seem to come at the time we most need them and in the most surprising and unexpected forms. And if we are lucky, we may even survive the trials and live to tell the tale!
In this wonder-full 2 week course, alongside creatively working with traditional wonder tales from around the world, we will also craft our own personal stories so that what is universal and archetypal in them can be shared as gifts with our listeners. This journey will open our eyes to freshly seeing and honouring the magic and wonder present in our own life. It will inspire and give insight to finding new meaning in our daily experiences and in the old stories (including challenging ones).
If you are interested in performing stories you will be introduced to an artistic, creative and powerful way of weaving together traditional and personal stories into one performance.
The course is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced storytellers.

Testimonials from previous participants in this two week course :

'The course has been like drinking from a wellspring of stars and light.
Open the door to faith, purpose, guidance and holding hands with new and old dreams. Held so expertly and gracefully by Roi’s inspiring, generous-beyond-words facilitation and insight. Two weeks of shared wisdom from the heart. Thank you so much.' (Hannah Moore)

'This is wholehearted recommendation to come and immerse yourself in this course. The interplay that evolved between the Wonder Tales and the biographical tales I’ve unearthed was revelatory and deeply moving. Facilitation is deftly and lovingly crafted. It’s the course of a lifetime.' (Claire Dunn)

'If you are looking for a way to plant new seeds in the soil of your soul, look no further!
For two weeks we had a mixture of deep work and playfulness and joy and I made beautiful new friends. I leave enriched through stories and connections.' (Heike Fanelsa)

'I knew I had some inner stories that would like to emerge, but had been hidden in the deep internal wall. Roi provided a supporting framework and ways and hints to luring these into a kind light, so they grew a life of their own.' (Martin Leach)

'While finding myself at a crossroads of my life, where the path feels unknown, uncertain, spending space and time with others in a beautifully held, safe container has allowed memory and dream to bubble up from within the deep ocean of my unconscious. The windows have been opened and the light is pouring through…'(Philip Greenwood)

‘Have you ever sat softer, have you ever seen clearer?’ asked White King Bear...
Thank you Roi, for introducing the wondertale and its magical world full of opportunities. For the games and the exercises that invited us to see, hear, feel and taste to the fullest and to explore the power of our imagination.
We laughed, we whispered, we sang, we listened, we tried and eventually we really enjoyed being on the stage.
You inspired us to create this little but strong vibration between the wondertale and our true life story. As storytellers we offered experiences from the heart and as listeners there was the extraordinary understanding of a person.
Thank you Roi for making us feel at ease, for starting and ending each session with little ceremonies, for structuring and building up the course so well, for silently waiting and observing and for giving us the floor in many ways. And for the jokes, oh yes, to break any tension...' (Lut Vinck,)

'I know the ripples of the course will continue and I am excited by the unknown and intuitive ways I can translate my experiences into making meaning for others, as well as step into my own light, show up and stop playing small.' (Fi Feehan)
